Chairman's Message
The history of the gas industry in the State of Qatar is a unique success story for the country and its people. In just a few decades, Qatar has managed to transform itself to a well-placed, reliable and dedicated global energy supplier. Today, our country is the world's largest LNG producer with a production capacity of more than 77 million tonnes per annum and we are progressing a historic expansion project that will raise our LNG production capacity to 126 million by 2027.
Over the years, Qatargas led unprecedented growth as an LNG pioneer and a trustworthy global energy producer. Building on this success, we made the strategic decision in September 2023 to rebrand the company to “QatarEnergy LNG."
Leveraging a strong link to the “QatarEnergy" brand, the new identity is an important step symbolising our continued commitment to meeting the world's growing need for LNG as a cleaner and more affordable enabler of a realistic energy transition.
QatarEnergy LNG is committed to its long history and heritage as an operator with the highest safety and environmental standards. We also remain committed to enhancing the reliability and efficiency of our production facilities and maintaining our high level of operational excellence and flawless project execution.
The long list of QatarEnergy LNG's achievements could not have been possible without the dedication of our people, whose commitment is a source of strength and pride.
